Crimson Cup Opens in Lewis Center; Grand Tavern Closes in Grandview

Plus, Dosa Kitchen Indian Grill opens in Gahanna, and Shakers Public House finds a new home.

In a Facebook post last week, the Grand Tavern at 1111 W. First Ave. in Grandview announced that it had closed after three months in business. The owners took to social media to list complaints about equipment issues, maintenance and other concerns with the property management. The bar was once part of Marshall’s Restaurant, which closed in 2022 and divided its space into two sections; the other half houses a location of Delaney’s Diner.

Crimson Cup Coffee opened its newest store at 6459 Artesian Run in Lewis Center this past weekend. The shop is housed in a new build complete with a drive-thru.

Dosa Kitchen Indian Grill opened recently at 1307 Stoneridge Lane in Gahanna. The eatery features a mix of North and South Indian cuisine, as well as Nepalese and Indo-Chinese food.

Shakers Public House announced on Facebook last week that it will move to a new home in Worthington. The bar and restaurant has been closed since last September after a major fire in its West Broad Street building. An exact address hasn’t been specified, although online commentary indicates it may be the former J&D’s Place at 480 E. Wilson Bridge Road.

Last week the Ohio Distillers Guild announced the Ohio Distillery Trail, launching on May 22 of this year. The trail comprises all member distilleries and offers guests the chance to visit each participating distillery and earn prizes for checking in there.
