Marlow’s Cheesesteaks to Join Budd Dairy; Lion Cub’s Announces Worthington Opening Date

Plus, Red Rabbit Ramen is for sale, and PBR Cowboy Bar opens at Easton.

Budd Dairy Food Hall announced last week that Marlow’s Cheesesteaks will become its newest permanent chef partner, taking over Alphabetical Comfort Kitchen’s recently vacated space. Owners Shanika and Jomar Sheppard first opened Marlow’s in Creekside Gahanna in 2022; their Philly cheesesteak-centric eatery was named one of Columbus Monthly’s Best New Restaurants 2023. Marlow’s had previously popped up in Budd Dairy’s Hatch incubator space. It will open its permanent stall on Tuesday, March 5.

Lion Cub’s Cookies announced that it will open its new Worthington store at 7105 N. High St. on Friday, March 8. Founder Bradley Kaplan started Lion Cub’s during the pandemic as a cookie delivery service before opening a Grandview storefront in 2021.

Mike and Terry Ramsey, the owners of Red Rabbit Ramen cart, announced that the business is for sale. The duo brought Red Rabbit Ramen to Columbus from Brooklyn in 2020, operating first out of a ghost kitchen before eventually setting up a cart outside Echo Spirits Distilling Co. The Ramseys shared that their family is moving to Seattle. The cart’s final days are planned for March 6-9.

PBR Cowboy Bar & Smokehouse makes its debut this Thursday, Feb. 29 at Easton Town Center. Located at 3950 Gramercy St., the 8,400-square establishment features a full restaurant and bar, live music stage and a mechanical bull.

The local franchise owners of Peace, Love and Little Donuts, a chain based out of Pittsburgh, announced that they have closed their store at 2110 W. Henderson Rd. in Upper Arlington. Their location at 656 High St. in Worthington remains open.
